Lacie was born in Columbia, MD on July 5, 1975 to Ronnie and Charles Koppelman. Lacie has an older brother, Josh, who lives in Austin, TX with his fiancee Katie and their two cats, Sardine and Leo. Lacie attended college at Emory University and she received her masters degree in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She now works as a Public Health Advisor for the Office on Women's Health in the US Department of Health and Human Services.

Lacie's main hobby is performing on stage; she has been singing and acting since she was six years old. Lacie has performed with several community and semi-professional theatre and choral groups in the DC area. Her other hobbies include swing dancing, juggling, and eating.

Ben was born in April, 1976, way down in Florida. His parents Ansley and Susie Scofield already had two children - Angela and Jason - but decided to keep the new kid around anyway. Fast forward twenty-five years or so and Angie's family includes her husband Chris and her two fun (and energetic!) sons Ryan and Braeden. Jason's family includes his wife Patti and their daughter Rachel, who can tell quite the fairy princess story when she wants to.

Ben graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and now works for Nextel Communications as a web developer (nope, he doesn't work on nextel.com and he can't get you a free phone) while simultaneously pursuing a graduate degree in the philosophy program at the University of Maryland at College Park. He enjoys arts and crafts of many sorts, volleyball and squash, puzzles, reading, and cooking (the last of which is especially convenient given Lacie's love of eating).
