Area Attractions

Details

Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD are both wonderful cities with lots of things to do. Some of our favorite area attractions in DC are the National Zoo, the Air and Space Museum, and the Museum of Natural History. If you have the time, we also recommend the US Holocaust Memorial Museum.

In Baltimore, we enjoy visiting the Inner Harbor and the National Aquarium. For more information on the sites and activities available in the area, check out the links below.

The Sheraton hotel (where we have reserved a block rooms for wedding guests) is located in the heart of the bride's hometown, Columbia, MD, right next to beautiful Lake Kittamaqundi. There are several nice restaurants on the water front that you can walk to including Clyde's and the Tomato Palace. Near the lake, you can also find the sculpture called The People Tree. The People Tree is fourteen feet tall with sixty-six gilded people as branches that have come to symbolize Columbia's philosophy -- Columbia was founded more than 30 years ago as a planned community and as a model of diversity.
